One would say that Via dell’Oca 40 seems to represent a world of its own, distinguishing itself amongst the charming and refined baroque buildings it is surrounded by: not because it is not charming and refined itself but for the structure of which it is composed, almost as though it had been placed there in a second moment.
Truly speaking, in fact, this is the real story of Via dell’Oca 40. Firstly, n° 40 did not exist. In its place, instead, a little alley narrow and winding which actually crossed Via dell’Oca.
Originally the alley belonged to a Cardinal, as was of common use in those times, who gave order for its edification bringing us to what today is a delightful and “quaint” building offering attractive apartments for accommodation in Rome where on the 4th floor of this “quaint building” the doors open onto Good Luck Oca.
